Who We Are
Established in 2020, Dunamis Chapel is one of the parishes of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). RCCG was founded in 1952 and has grown to become one of the fastest-growing churches in the world, with over 32,000 parishes in over 180 countries. Dunamis Chapel is focused on the plan of God for all believers to be the best God intends them to be.
We are a welcoming family Church based in the SouthWest of Edmonton. We are passionate about our local community and aim always to be the light on a hill. Though based in the Southwest corridor of Edmonton, we have a mission to reach out to the whole of Edmonton, surrounding cities, and the world. We understand that this starts with the believer and his family.
Dunamis Chapel is more than just a place of worship. It is a growing and loving family, a place where there are so many great opportunities to make friends, receive ministry and affect people’s lives with God’s love. There is something here for everyone, and we invite you to take a look and see.
The Church is intended by God to be central and the world peripheral. Dunamis Chapel intends to fulfil this mandate and therefore, we continually grow in the love of God. The Word of God is freely and fully preached with the intention for all to be empowered by this Word. This church home has been called by God to live abundantly in Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit. This home church by the grace of God offers a place for all people to experience God’s power, feel encouragement and receive His strength for life.
The vision of Dunamis Chapel is three-fold and is to ensure the believer attains their God given best always. The mandate of God for His church and people is for “Raising A People of His Power, Fulfilling His Purpose.” This ultimately leads to the following four experiences for you….

The mission of Dunamis Chapel aligns with the mission of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

We have a mandate to raise people of His power and to reach out to at least 5% of the city of Edmonton and surrounding communities and increase this yearly by about 1%, thus ensuring that our city feels the love of God. We are called to be ears, ears and feet for our city and our communities.
We trust the Lord always to fill His people with the power to fulfil their God ordained purpose. To reach God’s people, we intend to follow the mandate of POWER based on God’s Word.

Our Beliefs
Our Pastors
Pastor Tolu Adelowokan (PTA), a believer known for his love for God and God’s people. He is passionate about believers fulfilling their purpose and excelling in all they do. By the grace of God, he plays a role in leading the saints on God’s plan for them to be a people of God’s power and to fulfil their God ordained purpose.
PTA is known for his servant’s heart, an attribute he extends his other roles in health care, administration, public speaking and serving on boards especially of Christian and other organizations. He is passionate about seeing believers grow. He is the Lead Pastor of Dunamis Chapel, Edmonton, a family Church focused on God’s plan for believers to be the best God intends them to be.
This mandate was delivered by God for His Church, and he specifically obeys God’s Word and leads the believers to do this. This vision has been extended to the youth and young adults’ expression of the Church, Lighthouse Church.
An inspiring leader, he desires to see the Kingdom of God established on the earth, especially in these last days. He leads several initiatives, tasked with providing governance and strategic direction.
Tolu’s interests include tennis, soccer, badminton and reading. He enjoys spending time with his family and is a big supported all they all aim to achieve. He is married to Funmi, and they are blessed with godly children.
Pastor Funmi Adelowokan is the Co-Pastor of Dunamis Chapel. A Physiotherapist by profession, she has been in the ministry alongside her husband since inception, and she supports and oversees the women, young adults, and children’s ministries.
She is very passionate about raising godly families and helping people realize their potentials. She also bears the responsibility in developing the next generation of emerging leaders by coaching, mentoring, and setting an example with her servant leadership mindset.
Funmi has insistent desire for creativity and excellence, enjoys helping people, reading, singing and travelling. She is passionate about aesthetics and loves to promote godly ambience in various settings. She enjoys service and serves the Lord with all her heart and serves her family diligently. She resides in Edmonton, together with her family.
